After a period of 6 months in hospital when a young child, she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. He became famous for his skating career alongside Denis Samokhin, a compatriot. Both teams participated in the Junior World Championships, where they finished 8th and 7th each in 1993. After a brief collaboration with Maxim Kachanov, they placed fifth at the Goodwill Games of 1994. Then in 1995 she teamed together along with Vladimir Fedorov. They also had success together, securing the Finlandia Trophy two times and competing at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Together, they accomplished greater achievements. The highlight however was their 15th place finish that they achieved in the World Championships of 1998.
